I don’t know if it’s the cooler weather now or what, but the gym seemed busy this morning. I’m glad I got in early and got my spot at the rack. Two bars, one set up on the rack for pressing, one on the floor for deadlifting. What more could a guy ask for? (Plenty of things…but I was content.)
- Conventional Deadlift / Overhead Press Supersets
- 5x @ 295# / 115#
- 4x @ 305# / 115#
- 3x @ 315# / 120#
- 2x @ 325# / 125#
- 1x @ 340# / 130#
- 1x @ 350# / 135#
Then, a little circuit that had some of the newcomers wondering what was going on.
- 4x
- 8x Overhead Squat at 3/4 BW (120#)
- 10x (5x ea. arm) triplet @ 65# barbell:
- 1-arm Snatch
- Windmill
- “Reverse” TGU (start and end standing up)
- 5x Pull Ups
Rest periods were left intentionally short - just enough to be ‘almost’ sure of getting the next lift up. I had a good sweat going, was plenty out of breath, and had completed what felt like a fine workout in almost exactly an hour.
