Pre-Thanksgiving Fun

This morning was lots of fun. The weather was nice, so we got Charlotte out once more.

Kettlebell Warmup w/ 16kg KB
20x (10x ea. arm) One-arm Swing
20x (10x ea. direction) RTW
20x (10x ea. direction) Figure-8
10x Goblet Squat
10x Standing Halo
10x Deck Squat
20x (10x ea. side) Windmill
20x (10x ea. side) OHS
20x (10x ea. side) TGU

Next we did three rounds each of overhead holds with Charlotte. Neighbor’s best time was 1:15 while mine was 1:08. During my last round I was tipping, trying to hold still, staying tight, my left foot floated off the ground for a moment. It was unintentional, but I caught my balance, grounded my foot, and regained composure.

Unfortunately, neighbor began to laugh. Once he started laughing, I started laughing. It’s tough to stay tight holding Charlotte overhead, while laughing. Then I dropped her. On my nose. That hurt a bit, but I laughed even harder. Like I said, a lot of fun this morning.

Next challenge of the morning, SSST. The numbers were not good. I got 160, he got 155. It was his first shot at it. I don’t have an excuse.

Finally, inspired by JB, we did three rounds each of some overhead carry. We simply started out on an unmarked football field and walked as far as we could. No exact measurements, but each of our rounds were about equal (he walked down, I walked back). First round was about 50m, second 75m, third 100m or a bit more.

That was it for this morning. Lots of fun before everybody heads their own way for Thanksgiving.
