Not much to talk about today. Seems like I’ve used all my “excitement points” in the last couple weeks.
Workout
- Warm Up - Snatch + OHS
- 5x (1x + 10x) @ 45#
- 5x (1x + 10x) @ 65#
- 5x (1x + 10x) @ 75#
- 5x (1x + 10x) @ 95#
- 5x (1x + 10x) @ 105#
- Clean & Press + Bent Over Barbell Rows
- 5x @ 105#
- 5x @ 120#
- 5x @ 140# (last 2 Push Press)
- 5x @ 160# (last 4 Push Press)
- 0x @ 160# + 5x @ 160#
- 5x @ 155#
Those cleans @ 160# were tough. My grip was failing. Then, of course, I totally missed my fifth set. That sucked. I just felt weak. On the other hand, my previous 1RM clean is 175#. 160# is > 90%. I shouldn’t expect to do 5x @ 90%. Maybe I’m just at my upper limit and I need to be more patient. Patience is not one of my virtues.

- This was a pretty easy pace, just to keep my heart beating a bit and blood flowing a little longer.
