First, this morning saw the first beam of protons circle round the LHC…and Earth still exists! Of course, we still haven’t crashed those protons into each other yet, but I’m looking forward to that day in a big, big way.
Workout
This morning also saw Charlotte, Favorite Drinkin’ Buddy, a fella from work - Parth, and me up at the local track a little after 5:00 this morning.

- 10m Charlotte Overhead Walk, turn around, walk back +
- 20x Burpees +
- 30x Push Ups +
- 40x Air Squats +
- 50m Sprint, touch the ground, sprint back
- 3x
- 30x Swings @ 16kg KB
- 10x Deck Squats @ 16kg KB
- 10x Knees-to-Elbows on rings
Turning around with Charlotte overhead was a little tricky, but not quite as difficult as I imagined it to be. Maybe next time we’ll add a few Overhead Squats into the mix.
A few days ago, a challenge was thrown down - static hold, plank position, on rings, for time. We did two static holds for time this morning - plank on the rings and Charlotte overhead. The time to beat on the rings was 2:12. I failed miserably.

…and I barely got that. 2:12 is going to take some significant improvement.

Overhead lunge with the slosh pipe is good times.
Those are still pretty respectable times, you’re better than everybody in our group on both aparatus.. well except well one person.. cough (3:30/2:12) cough.. of course those were done on different days, so there’s that.

My times were about the same when we first started with those implements.
Or you could just wait for the end of the universe.. which ever comes first.
