Marathoner has always had some trouble with the overhead squats. His hip mobility has increased significantly over the past year, but his shoulders are still…uh…to put it most bluntly, terribly immoble.
Instead of him trying to do Overhead Squats and just getting frustrated, he’s using this time to increase his mobility with some Eric Cressey-recommended exercises. I tried some of them - they all seem fairly trivial motions to me. Marathoner described it “as if I was lifting 50 or 60 pounds”. Must be a good use of his time. We’ll see at the end of this 8 weeks if there’s any improvement.

Raging Bull
This weekend was fairly regular - nothing much going on. A little bit of Christmas decoration clean up, but nothing too consuming.
On Saturday afternoon, the rest of the family all laid down for naps about 3:00, so I put in Raging Bull - a movie I really like, but haven’t seen in 10 years or so. It’s still violent. It’s still very good.
